Don't cry wolf! I'm really concerned about this new matter of Islamic fundamentalism in Denmark. I think it is turning to a serious problem and yet the Danish authority is not acting wise. Using metaphor such as Nazi-like and addressing the wrong points don't help the situation at all but it may make some dickhead eventually do some stupid thing like the guy who killed the German filmmaker. On the other hand lack of knowledge about the problem itself and off-the-cuff, emotional statements such as "imams [... should...] interpret Islam in relation to the Danish society" which is not only ridiculous but also could not be supported by the Danish law make the situation just worse in my opinion. Bertel Haarder says "Muslims must be free to elect their own imams." Is he kidding?
I hope I’m not giving a wrong impression. I am just worried that one day I might be killed in Copenhagen, drinking a beer, because some religious figure has given order to kill the beer drinkers.
