OK, I'm gonna be very serious about the Integration Minister, Mr. Bertel Haarder's opinion for the first time. He has said "Well educated Muslims should take the lead in developing a democratic form of Islam which is more in keeping with our own democratic society." in reaction to some Muslims who claimed recently that the support stoning pnalty for adultery and stuff like that.
In my opinion it comes down to the very simple situation wheather any of those Islamic laws are being practiced by Muslims in Denmark or not. Stoning might be a too extreme example that is not likely to happen, but many other Islamic rules could be practice in Denmark. It is important that the Danish law forsee and provide rules for such thing when happens in case. Because one can't charge peopel for opinion. The question is whether the Dansh law could be applied when an Islamic law is practice which is against the moder society. It is a mater that the Judical Ministery should be more concerned about it than Intergration Ministry. I guess there is already a rule that prohebts the secomsition of girls which is practiced by some African. I is hard to discuss whether it is right to do this trible aincient African thing. It is not even important that someone has the opinion that girls should be sircomsised. The important thing is that there has been forseen a rule for such thing in Denmark. Some may disagree and try to change the rule in a legal process. But It is a rule which could be refered to when such case happen.

So imagin a woman is stoned in Denmark for adultery. I guess that current Danish law can only punish the murderer according to the rules od murder. But in this case we are in a situation that goes beyond just a murder. It is different than someone killing someone for whatever reason. In such case we are confronted with the clash of two kind of "laws", the Danish and the Islamic law. Islam says that the murderer is right. Stomimg adulterous is also ruled in Bible. We do not consider that a problem, because it is an old and abandoned rule in Moder Christian societies. So there is no judical question when i.e. a priest claims that adulterous should be stoned. We don't need to call him to be modern and stop saying bullshit. Because the very law of his own society will fries his ass if he practice his opinion. Of course the same rule could be applied when a Muslim practice stoning in Denmark for instance. What I am saying is that Islamic rules should be as alien and uncountable in Denmark as the old rules of Bibe is.

Make a "moder version of Islam" means being Muslim no more. Just like Danish "moder versin of Christianity" which is not Christian any more. Now it is a matter of debate that peopel would challenge the opinion of those peopel who are fund of stoning and hand-cutting. I dont think you can ask them to be more modern. We could just discuss the idea itself. whenever they do what they say, then police will arreste them; simple, huh?

Whether it is good or bad to cut some thiefs fucking hand is equally important to be discussed as it is to discuss wether police can torture some terrorist to get info. Now that we are really going back to the ancient time with our current global situation, it's a good idea to discuss this stuff.
