Hoegaarden

My buddy [otherwise my graphic designer] Jens Burau called me yesterday and said that he had read my weblog and found a great deal of depression there. I said I am fucked up but not really depressed, although I got all the reasons for being so.
However I decided to write a bit about the beauties of life, that is, I discovered a new beer: Hoegaarden bièr blanche.

It is an unfiltered, cloudy white beer from Belgium, 4.9% alcohol which tastes great and smells absolutely marvelous. It's very effective too, that is, you feel you are drinking "beer" in the first sip. I did not have the chance to practically exam my theory but I think that it would be a great refreshing beer when one is pissed-drunk. I mean I would trade this with a green Bacardi Breezer, a Saturday morning at 05:00; of course after making sure I have already call the cab!
The price is relatively low in compare to what you pay for a shity Tuborg for instance. It is 14 DKK for bottle whereas a Tuborg costs around 8 DKK.
However I was very happy to find this beer and I think I'm gonna list it as my favorites. I have always liked most of Belgian beers but this was very special, more specifically when drunk while watching Carol Reed's The Third man.

Hoegaarden is the ultimate summerbeer/weissbier.

Add a slice of lemon in the glas, and it doesnt get much better!
