"When is your birthday?", she asked.
"27th of February", I said.
"Oh my god", she screamed, "happy birthday. Today's 27th."
"Is it?" I asked. I knew it was. However I was lying. My birthday is not on 27th of February. It's on... on... shit, I can't remember.

"The Minister has denied knowing anything about her husband",DR reports, when Jørgen Tørnæs, Mr.husband hired a man who not only had no necessary permits but also was from Lithuanian.
As I mentioned in the case of late "Be Ho", ex-minister of Immigration, wives and husbands of Danish government do not sleep with them and not even know what they do. So the Danish government fucked up policy is merely based on sexual frustration.
Of course it is understandable that it is not easy to be as previously close to each other as they used to since all the members of the government left their families in their "pig farms" and came to Copenhagen to rule!

I can't explain this but just read it. They have found bacterium of 32,000 years age and still alive. Are scintists kidding us or it is really so?

I thought backeries were all run by Danes

The news is that some of the backeries "have employed illegal labour, cooked their books, or been bought or sold with money paid under the table." And ofcourse Many of the bakeries included on the list are owned by immigrants. I love that.
But really, I never saw any backery run by non-Danish folks. Is it commiting a crime that makes you an "immigrant?"

Slavery or solution

Danish government new proposal to employe foreingers but underpay them for the one day of work which is spent on traning seems useful and yet dangerous. First of all it is assumed surely that foreigners do not know dick, therefore they should be trained. It many cases it is true though, but it supresses the individuals who are highly qualified already.
Secondly it is mostly the problem of the language which is a barrier for foreigners to find a job. And that is not an easy problem to solve, because of the Danish language itself. Nobody can become perfect in Danish. Not even Danes themselves can.

Latest about the Danish Collaborators after half a century.
An almost 100% "foreigner" who is scientifically proved to be "neither Danish nor Swedish but his parents live in Denmark" has been arrested in DK for kidnapping a Swedish millionaire businessman. The suspect, whose identity and nationality have NOT been disclosed is a plain foreigner whatsoever that means; that's it.
I just wonder why people voted for the government to continue a tight immigration policy.

Oh, no. That is not fair. I want Bertel Haarder back. Denmark will be a far mre boring country without "Be Ho". However there other fields to be fucked up such as education and God in Denmark. So "Be Ho" has been appointed as minister of Ecclesiastical & Education. Satan helps gods and students!
Rikke Hvilshøj has become "our" minister instead. I hope she gets more sleep at nights than "Be Ho" did, so that she would go to work with a functioning brain in the mornings. However as a good sign to a nice beginning she has open-mindedly closed all the comment windows at her weblog. "The comments to this entry are closed."

Ministers of Family and Consumer Affairs do not pay for their home furnishings, says the DR News, until their party runs for election. So if any of ministers owe you money just wait four years and you'll get your money. Just remember that their husbands are "entirely to blame in this matter" and the ministers are always "unaware" of court orders against unpaid debts.
But what the heck, why do you guys expect that ministers should pay for anything at all? They sacrifice themselves for the god and the country! That's what counts.
Many political analysts believe ”that her 20 year long political career will not be destroyed by this case” of furnishers shit. They have reason to believe so out of their own unpaid and yet harmless furnisher debts.
Since paying furnisher is a fundamental value of the Danish society and one of the strongest pillars of the Conistitution Act, The Social Democrats, Social Liberals and the Danish People’s Party thought that sin was unforgivable and hence have all called for the Family and Consumer Affairs Ministry to be abolished or at least unfurnished for six months.

When Bush declared war against Afghanistan to remove the Taliban regime, it was apparent to me that the next two targets would be first Iraq and then Iran. It's getting more and more clear that Iran is the next target. How they attack this next target is something we have to wait and see, but in my opinion there is no question about it: the next target is Iran.
I'm afraid that anytime Le Monde Diplomatique predicted some shit, the shit just happened. Here is Ignacio Ramonet's article about the threat. You can read it in Persian too.

Market vs. Monarch

While cowboys and Arabs shooting each other in Iraq, a war waged betweenQueen Margrethe and Adidas. We are living in a dangerous world, I should say.

Goverment and "Pee Ko" are agreed to to help Danes get the foreigners work for them for free. Hence there will be "60,000 more jobs before 2010.
Is it really true that "mother-tongue teaching of children from ethnic minorities helps them improve their Danish language qualifications?" I personally think - based on my own experience of learning foreign languages - that the less one speaks ones mother tongue during the process of learning another language, the better one learns the new language. However "Pee Ko" (the leader of Dansk Folkeparti) seems to be mostly interested to cut the budget than anything less.

Here is an article of mine that has been published last week on the film magazine, EKKO in Danish. It looks a bit different from my original article: they add some headlines between paragraphs. They also changed the title. It was titled: Niether/Both. It has been translated from English to Danish by Jesper Banzon.

Analyse af en scene i Thelma & Louise


På trods af faren for at ødelægge en god filmoplevelse, kan et opmærksomt øje altid lære en god del om filmisk teknik af selv de mindste detaljer i en film. Der findes altid lektioner bag klipning og sidestilling af billeder, hvilket erindrer om, hvad der virker på film, og hvad der ikke virker. Til tider udfordrer sådanne lektioner tidligere accepterede forestillinger om mediet, og lader os udforske nye provinser i filmens verden. Til tider etablerer de en dialog med tidligere og nu glemte erfaringer. Og til tider relaterer de ikke alene til en films helhed, men går også udover selve filmmediets kontekst og åbner op for diskussioner af filosofisk art. Lad os se nærmere på en filmscene, som på overraskende vis illustrerer, at film ofte rummer mange lag.

I Ridley Scotts Thelma & Louise (1991) finder vi en sekvens, hvor Thelma (Geena Davies) for første gang begår et røveri i en butik. Hun skynder sig tilbage til bilen, hopper ind og råber til Louise (Susan Sarandon), at hun skal køre. Louise får sat fart i bilen, og kan i sin forbløffelse dårligt tro, Thelma har røvet butikken. Louise spørger hende, hvordan hun gjorde. Thelma begynder at forklare, og i samme øjeblik klippes der til overvågningskameraet, hvor Thelma med en pistol i hånden beder folk om at forholde sig i ro, og lægge sig ned på gulvet.

Denne scene fører os tilbage til scenen med røveriet få minutter før, som vi, tilskuerne, ikke har set, idet vi blev hos Louise i bilen, mens røveriet fandt sted. Derfor oplever vi et flash back. Men Ridley Scott bruger det samme billede, blot med et klip mere således at vi føres et skridt videre ind i fortællingens fremtid. Faktisk fungerer det billede, hvor vi gennem overvågningskameraet ser Thelma røve butikken, både som flashback og flashforward. Dette indebærer, at mens vi tænker, at det billede vi ser i flashback, et subjektivt billede, som personificerer Thelmas narrative hukommelse om røveriet, i næste øjeblik er en videooptagelse. En videooptagelse, som betragtes af politiet og Thelmas mand på en tv-skærm, hvilket er, kronologisk set, noget der sker i fremtiden.

Lad os nu se på begivenheden, som den skete i selve plottets virkelighed, og derefter sammenligne den med, hvordan den er fremstillet i filmen. Efter at være berøvet af J.D. (Brad Pitt), stopper Thelma og Louise op foran butikken, Thelma går ind i butikken, trækker sin pistol, og beder alle om at være afslappede og samarbejdsvillige. Hun tager pengene og en flaske whisky, løber ud af butikken, springer ind i bilen, og de kører væk. Louise ved intet om røveriet, så hun spørger ”hvad skete der?”, og Thelma fortæller om røveriet. Der var et overvågningskamera i butikken, som har optaget det hele. Butiksejeren kontakter politiet, som ankommer til gerningsstedet, tjekker overvågningskameraet, finder båndet frem, og leverer det til de betjente, som tager sig af sagen om Thelma og Louise.
Som det formodentlig fremgår, tager selv denne korte genfortælling betragteligt længere end filmens billeder har brug for til at fortælle denne sekvens. Ikke alene ville det have taget lang tid at fortælle den del af historien kronologisk; det ville også have været temmelig ordinært, hvis ikke ligefrem kedeligt. I stedet har vi, for det første, kun tre billeder gennem hvilke en stor del af fortællingen fortælles på en både kompakt og hurtig måde. For det andet oplever vi en både æstetisk og fornøjelig leg med tiden – både i narrativ og kronologisk tid – hvor vi kastes ind i et imaginært brudstykke af fortiden, som rent faktisk finder sted i fremtiden.
Dette bryder også grænsen mellem vores subjektive og objektive fortolkning af billede. I første omgang tænker vi, at det vi ser, er den subjektive skildring af fortiden, som den opleves af Thelma, men opdager snart, eller rettere; vi trækkes tilbage til virkelighedens objektivitet, hvor det ’morsomme røveri’ ikke længere er morsomt.

På et dybere plan er denne sekvens ganske flot vævet ind i plottet, og løfter sløret for figurerne og deres respektive synsvinkler samtidig med, at vi deler eller oplever deres følelser. Den gennem overvågningskameraet båndede røveriscene er et element i filmens plot, som interagerer med begge sider af situationen. På den ene side har vi Thelma, der med barnlig entusiasme fortæller om sit røveri; på den anden side har vi politimændene og Thelmas mand, som ikke alene er ude af stand til at reagere humoristisk på hændelserne, men ligeledes er særdeles vrede.
Vi, tilskuerne, ser først røveriscenen gennem Thelma, og sympatiserer med hendes frydefulde uskyld, griner ad hendes lattervækkende høflighed, mens hun peger på folk med sin pistol og røver butikken, hvorefter vi pludselig bliver bevidste om situationens alvor, da vi opdager, at det vi ser ikke er den subjektive og spørgefulde version af røveriet, som Thelma fortæller til Louise, men det stykke bevis i politiets varetægt, som vil volde den stakkels Thelma (og Louise) alvorlige problemer. I dette øjeblik føler vi os akavede, fanget i vore paradoksale følelser.

Scenen rummer ligeledes et lag, som filmhistorisk set er betydningsfuldt som et filmisk eksperiment. Lev Kuleshov og Vsevolod Pudovkin klippede omkring 1920 det samme close-up af Ivan Mazzukhin med tre forskellige klip (en suppetallerken, et smilende barn og et lig). Publikum læste forskellige betydninger ind i skuespillerens udtryk, og priste rækkevidden af forskellige følelser og udtryk hos skuespilleren i de forskellige situationer. Sandheden var dog, at der kun var tale om eet billede af Mazzukhin, hvor han udelukkende betragtede. Det var montage-teknikken, som fik publikum til virkelig at føle, at det de så var tre forskellige ansigtsudtryk hos skuespilleren.

I Thelma & Louise er vi vidner til, at Kuleshov/Pudovkin’s eksperiment vendes på hovedet; observerende karakterer varierer i stedet for kameraets synsvinkel. Hos Kuleshov/Pudovkin ser vi den samme scene klippet sammen med tre forskellige synsvinklers virkelighed, mens karakteren beholder sin position og synsvinkel.
I Thelma & Louise skifter karakterernes synsvinkler og observationssted, mens selve klippet i scenen er den samme – røveriet ses kun fra overvågningskameraet
Hvis vi i det første eksempel skaber og derefter blander de følelser, som skuespilleren/karakteren har i forbindelse med de tre billeder han observerer, undergår vi i det andet klip en forandring af vore følelser gennem det samme observationssted, sidestillet to forskellige parter af skuespillere/karakterer, som reagerer forskelligt.

Thelma & Louise er måske ikke en af historiens vigtigste film, men der er altid noget at lære fra ordinære film, og selv de ’dårlige’ film kan rumme interessante lag. Med interesse i filmkunsten kan man med nytte sammenligne flere film, og gribe chancen for på ny at undersøge en række basale filmiske principper.

It seems that the market for Stinger missiles is not very hot. According to Steve Coll, the author of Ghost Wars, a CIA agant, Gary Schroen had met Ahmed Shah Masoud on 1996 to repurchase the Stinger missiles from Afghan so-called warlords for the price between $80,000 and $150,000. But Stinger market shows no inflation as BBC reports. Todays price is between $100,000 to $150,000 per misile in Afghanistan.
